Saturday Sit ‘n’ Sew

How lovely was the weekend just gone? A mostly beautiful sunny weekend in Sydney, made even better with a SYDMQG Sit ‘n’ Sew meeting on Saturday.

A nice intimate group this weekend but we did get to meet the lovely Monique. Monique’s sister, Michelle, came along to her first SYDMQG meeting last month, so it was great to have both of these lovely ladies join us over the past couple of meetings. We look forward to seeing you both again soon.

There was quite a bit of hand sewing going on with some beautiful fussy cut hexies all over the place from both Jenn (see picture) and Leigh.

Sel and myself settled into planning mode…poor Sel has an injured zombie finger (her words) so unfortunately hand sewing is difficult. My sew-jo didn’t turn up on Saturday, but I did get to finalise our 2015 group quilt plans…Yay!

A little bit of show and tell for this month. First up, a beautiful baby quilt top completed by Leigh.

Leigh also had her Red Letter Day quilt top to show us. Isn’t it fabulous?

The final quilt for show and tell was from me … a quilt for my recently born nephew.

I really love our SYDMQG meets, and I’m looking forward to our next meeting on Sun 5th October at Kim Bradley Creations in Castle Hill. If you would like to join us please drop us a line.
