Hello everyone!
Hope your week has gotten off to a great start. There’s a buzz in the air…and a lot more sunshine…it seems as if SPRING is arriving! Isn’t that great? 🙂
We have TWO guild meetings this week, how exciting! Thursday 13 September, 5:30pm-8:00pm at City Extra, Circular Quay it is our fortnightly Sit & Sew. It’ll be very casual! Please bring along some handwork! This week I’ll be bringing in The Shape Workshop for Quilters for anyone who wants to take a look at it. It’s a very fun book with 60 blocks and 12 complete patterns! 🙂
Our official monthly meeting is on Saturday, 15 September, 10:00am-1:00pm at City Extra Circular Quay. We will be revealing some fantastic news about venues for the new year, upcoming structural changes, and a really exciting development for our guild! As always it is about being a sewists’ community so please come along and say howdy. We’d love to have you there and don’t forget to bring your Show & Tells too! 🙂
Parking & Transportation:
Thursday night: The Opera House offers parking after 5pm for the flat rate of $35, Queen Victoria Building offers parking after 5pm with a flat rate of $15. Trains and buses run to Circular Quay every few minutes.
Saturday morning: Parking at the Opera House is a flat rate of $15 on weekends. Trains and buses run to Circular Quay every ten or so minutes.
Quick reminder, we will not be charging dues until the new year so it is TOTALLY FREE to join the guild right now!
